What is a Learning Lab?
Our Learning Lab Model creates a continuous cycle of innovation and knowledge creation. We test ideas with students in real-world settings, collaborate with researchers to refine and validate our methods, and share insights with educators through professional development. Educators then apply these strategies in their classrooms, generating new learnings that funnel back into the cycle.
Inner Spark Programs
We don't just prepare students for the future—we prepare them to lead it. Through our proven Inner Spark Approach, students discover their unique strengths, master STEAM skills, and become the innovators their communities need.
TheoryxPractice
An after-school program where youth in grades 3rd-8th lead through Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR). Students identify what matters most in their communities, develop solutions, and take action.
This program strengthens critical thinking and leadership while deepening their connection to their communities to spark meaningful change.
Igniting the Spark
Igniting the Spark is a year-long program for TK-8th graders that connects hands-on STEAM learning with community impact. Students build critical thinking skills and find purpose as they apply their learning to real-world challenges. This program helps students shape their futures and become leaders in their own lives
For the Greater Good
For the Greater Good is a professional development program that helps educators, schools, and youth development programs build student-centered classrooms rooted in the strengths of their students and communities.
Drawing on insights from Igniting the Spark and TheoryxPractice, this program equips educators with strategies to foster critical thinking, leadership, and community connection. Through collaborative workshops and hands-on training, FTGG inspires classrooms where every student can thrive.
